Federal and state agencies continue to provide advice to help with expected increased cases of influenza this year, particularly that of the H1N1 virus. The information below presents prevention strategies, emergency planning resources, and specific information needed by school administrators, parents, early childhood program administrators and school food service directors.

School Closure Reporting System 
Public and nonpublic schools that decide to close due to influenza (seasonal or H1N1) are to complete a brief online report by 9 a.m. on the first day of closure through this ODH reporting system. Additional reports should be made if dates of school closure increase or change.
