College-Preparatory Boarding School

Section 3328 of the Ohio Revised Code authorizes the state board of education (SBOE) to contract with a qualified operator to establish a college-preparatory boarding school in Ohio as a public school. The college-preparatory boarding school will be governed by a Board of Trustees and will serve disadvantaged, at-risk youth in grades 6-12.

On November 28, 2011, an RFP was issued for an operator of a college-preparatory boarding school in Ohio. The deadline for submitting a proposal is January 30, 2012. On December 19, 2011 a Bidders Conference Call was held to answer any questions potential respondents might have regarding the RFP. At that time, questions that needed additional research were collected. Callers were informed that the answers to those questions would be posted on the ODE website.

Following are links to the Q&A from the conference call, as well as the RFP. Any additional questions should be directed to Denise.Willis-Thompson@ode.state.oh.us.
