Entrepreneurship

The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) has provided an entrepreneurship course to students through Career-Technical Education (CTE) for the past 15 years. This course offers broad entrepreneurship skills and knowledge to students in workforce development programs in any of 16 career fields.

During FY2010, the Office of CTE  developed Career Field Technical Content Standards that will serve as the basis for an entrepreneurship pathway/program in the Marketing Career Field. The standards for Ohio's new pathway, aligned to National Entrepreneurship Standards, are applicable for Grades 9-12 through the associate degree, as are standards for all CTE career fields/pathways.
